[About twenty minutes later, Rome is dragging the chocobo out around the back to the skinning station he'd set up months ago, before wiping his hands clean and moving in the house.]

-Morgan?

[danseur]

[ Rome has just brought in a dead chocobo. Morgan, on the other hand, actually looks like he's tried to clean up. His hair is a little damp, at least. ]

Hey.

[leashed]

[Rome makes a small sound before looking up at him- he can smell the dampness on him, and is a little warmed by the effort.]

How are you?

[danseur]

[ He smiles a little lopsidedly at that. ]

'Bout the same I was about half an hour ago. Can I help with anything?

[leashed]

There's not much to do.

[Well- aside from plucking a giant bird.]

Can I talk to you?

[danseur]

.. yeah. That's why I came out here.

[leashed]

[Rome pauses a moment, before moving to get a bag so he can start plucking out the feathers. It's easier like this, when he has something to do with his hands to keep him distracted from what he's saying.]

You'll have to forgive me if I'm still a little surprised. This came very suddenly.

[danseur]

[ He sort of wants to ask him to stop, to wash his hands and come inside with him. Instead, he just stands there a little awkwardly. ]

Which part?

[leashed]

All of it, I suppose.

[He clears his throat.]

I don't know if you remember, but you- you said you loved me during the repressed event.

[danseur]

.. yeah, I remember. Why?

[ He's staring off at the distance. ]

[leashed]

I knew.

[His eyes lower a little, and he moves to start to work.]

I knew that you felt it- I just wanted to wait until you were comfortable enough to admit it to me when you were yourself again. Does that make sense?

[danseur]

[ Morgan snorts softly, but it's a sound of amusement. ]

Yeah. A little more tactful than I'm used to you being, but yeah, it makes sense.

[leashed]

[Rome takes a deep breath, letting his hands drop to his sides. It's hard to get any work done like this.]

I love you.

[It's soft, quiet.]

And I'll do whatever you ask of me, regardless of any rule or order I've ever been given.

[danseur]

[ Morgan takes a low breath, nodding and wrapping one arm hesitantly around Rome's lower back, tugging him forward. ]

So you'll bite me.

[leashed]

[He doesn't really resist, just moves forward against him.]

...I will. If you're sure.

[danseur]

You'd like it, wouldn't you.

[ It's not really a question. He leans his forehead against the top of Rome's head. ]

[leashed]

[He nods once, wordlessly, tucking in against him.]

...don't- do it just for me.

[danseur]

[ He has no other reason to do anything, here- but he won't say that. ]

Alright.

[leashed]

[Rome pulls back just a little to kiss him softly.]

You love me.

[danseur]

[ Morgan catches the side of his face, holding him there and returning the kiss. ]

Uh huh. I think I said that.

[leashed]

You typed it.

[It really doesn't matter- or at least, it shouldn't. But he wants to hear it, all the same.]

[danseur]

Did I?

[ He's grinning just a little. ]

I don't remember.

[leashed]

Yes you do.

[Don't tease him bb :C]

[danseur]

I do?

[ He's still laughing a little, leaning down to kiss at his temple, the side of his cheek. ]

[leashed]

You're being cruel.

[And Rome is pouting.]
