(no subject)
This is very haphazardly thrown together- the purpose here is more to compile links that players can use to make their own prettier reference posts than it is meant to be a reference post by itself. Some of these conversations are now general knowledge (but weren't back then) and some of these conversations were the gods not being entirely truthful (I've included what they were lying about in parenthesis).
Hope and Fear's first post. Explaining who they are and starting their rivalry + evidence that they really don't know anything about how humans work. Established that Fear opened the Door and Hope is creating supplies.
Hope and Dipper. Time might move differently here.
Hope with Natasha. Hope doesn't know how the Door works and cannot send anyone home.
Hope with Cecily. Someone else knows about the Door and told Fear about it. (This person is later revealed to be Sorrow)
Hope with Demon. The gods get their power from emotions, but they are not personifications of them and they do not represent them. The gods do not look human and have other bodies. Hope is not attracted to humans. The previous hosts offered Hope plenty of power.
Fear with Mike. Fear chooses to be seen as a villain because he thinks it gets him more fear.
Hope with Sharon. The gods died by overwhelming force. Hope vaguely implies that Fear killed them. (Not true.)
Hope with Cullen. Dead gods' energies linger. The gods are like spirits 'but better'.
Fear with Rag'kar. God blessings are the gods passing on their own powers in sectioned-off parts.
Fear with Beyond. Fear explains what he knows of the Door. It isn't much. Fear offers up some of what he's learned about humans. It also isn't much.
Fear with Kazuhira. Fear doesn't think that the Door works both ways. Fear says his goal is to defeat Hope (it isn't). Fear is fascinated by human culture.
Fear with Chris. Fear can try to bring people back from the dead, but it would be 'messy'.
Rage with Beyond. Rage does not like Fear. Implies he was responsible for her death (he was, but not in the way people thought back then).
Rage with Cullen. Previous hosts had mastery over emotions. It's weird that humans don't.
Rage with Hope. Rage likes humans. Hope needs rest after a revival.
Hope with Cecily. Hope doesn't like Fear (again). Hope thinks that Rage is okay. Rage stays out of their conflict. ((haha remember when this game was sold as a battle between Hope and Fear, that was kinda misleading amirite))
Hope post. I CAN'T BELIEVE I HAVE TO TELL MY COLLEAGUES NOT TO FEED YOU HUMAN MEAT.
Hope with Rey. Hope can bring back lots of people, but it will take him longer.
Hope with Gansey. Hope creates supplies. Hope will not revive the previous hosts unless he can be certain of their safety. Hope cleaned up the corpses some time before the Door was opened.
Rage with Emily. Rage doesn't know anything about the Door, nor does she know who does.
Delight with Emily. Delight doesn't know anything about the Door either. Two strikes, Hadriel!
Delight with Rey. The gods can be seen in person.
Delight with Maketh. Delight explains a little how their power works.
Delight with Firo. Delight is not sure if human eyes can see the gods' true forms (they can, as proven later by Love).
Delight with Nick. Delight likes Rage and Hope, but definitely not Fear.
Fear with Hope/Delight/Rage. The gods are all literal 5 year olds.
Fear with Mello. Fear doesn't get as much power when he tries to compromise with characters. Fear dodges the question of whether or not he killed the other gods, implies that he did (he didn't).
Fear with Damianos. Fear won't say why he wants power because he doesn't want people to react in a way that doesn't benefit him (he assumed people would be less afraid of him if they knew he was the one saving them). Fear knows what's protecting everyone from the previous threats (spoilers, he is). (this thread is golden to look back on post-arc 1)
Delight with Maketh. Sorrow is the oldest, strongest, and died last of all the gods. Hope is really defensive about the previous hosts.
Delight with Chris. Some brief info on how the gods feel toward one another.
Delight with Nick. Tranquility is the hardest god to revive. Tranquility was a builder. Delight really doesn't like Fear, and implies that he ran from conflict while the others died.
Delight with Hux. The gods understand how to have a proper symbiotic relationship.
Delight with Mello. The gods do not have written histories and don't understand the concept of wanting others to remember them.
~~Sorrow is revived and now there is gratuitous infodumping~~~
Sorrow with Herman. Sorrow! Knows! About! The Door! Home run for Hadriel! God ancestors created the Door. Gods don't have the capability to make something quite like it right now. Sorrow's progenitor had memories of the Door. Sorrow sought out a Tranquility who knew more. There are other functions of the Door. The Door was made to pull people through time and space. They are not on Earth. The gods adjusted the day lengths for human circadian rhythm when the first humans were pulled through the door. The Door likely adjusted for Earth's calendar for some reason (it's a mystery that definitely has nothing to do with ooc convenience). There is a sun aboveground. The days are differently structured outside. Sorrow wants to find a more suitable host population than humans. Sorrow doesn't intend to kill the humans.
Sorrow with Rey. Sorrow establishes himself as a neutral entity in Fear and Hope's conflict. Gods are created from previous gods, not born. Sorrow is a peacekeeper. The gods are young for their species. Sorrow is willing to let conflicts play out when they suit his needs.
Sorrow with Sharon. The Door is an ancient artifact with mirrored copies throughout the universe. The Door is unpredictable. The Door is capable of being closed.
Sorrow with Gansey. Sorrow has seen other worlds. Sorrow does not travel using the Door. Sorrow refuses to send people back, though he knows how. Sorrow likes history, which is odd for the species. Gods don't keep many written records.
